01 — Background

From Western Canada to Vancouver Island.
From friendly solar to premium energy.

In January 2025, BearPlex built and launched hqenergy.ca — a multi-page WordPress site covering Solar (Residential and Commercial), Roofing, and supporting pages. Since launch, we've shipped iterative additions including the dedicated Roofing page (October 2025), GHL form integration, team page management, copy refinements, and ongoing maintenance.

HQ Energy has now rebranded. New logo. New palette — black, gold, crisp white. New positioning — CLEAN · RELIABLE · LOCAL. And a sharper geographic focus on Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland rather than all of Western Canada.

This proposal covers the work to migrate the existing site to the new brand identity, restructure the page architecture to match the refined service offering, and elevate the entire experience to match the more premium, architectural feel of the new HQ Energy.

02 — Scope of Work

Four streams of work.
One unified outcome.

2.1 Brand System Migration
  • Apply the new logo (primary, transparent, and reversed variants) across header, footer, favicon, mobile nav, and Open Graph share images.
  • Build the full color system: pure black (#000000), warm gold (~#D4A53A), crisp white, plus a five-step neutral scale calibrated for hierarchy on dark backgrounds.
  • Define an eight-step type scale from caption to display, with letter-spacing and weight rules per step that mirror the geometric character of the new wordmark.
  • Replace the existing typography stack with a thin, wide-tracked sans-serif system loaded via Google Fonts with proper preconnect and font-display tuning.
  • Button system: every state (default, hover, focus, active, disabled, loading), every variant (primary, secondary, ghost, link), every size (small, medium, large).
  • Form field system: inputs, textareas, selects, checkboxes, radios, with full focus rings, validation states, error messaging, and placeholder treatment.
  • Card variations: feature cards, testimonial cards, stat blocks, image cards, and review cards — each with hover and focus treatments.
  • Iconography pass: existing icons rebuilt as monoline geometric SVGs aligned with the new wordmark's stroke weight.
  • Section divider system, accordion styling, modal/dialog styling, and CTA banner system — each consistent with the brand.
  • Sticky-header behavior with backdrop-blur and scroll-shrink. Mobile slide-in drawer with accessible focus trap.
  • Subtle motion system: scroll-triggered reveals, hover transitions, button micro-interactions — restrained and premium, not flashy.
  • Favicon set (ICO, PNG sizes for iOS, Android, and modern browsers) and Open Graph image template for every page.
2.2 Page Architecture

2.3 Positioning & Copy Refresh
  • Replace all "Western Canada" and "BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan" references with "Vancouver Island & Lower Mainland" language site-wide — every page, every section, every CTA.
  • Tighten hero, value-proposition, and CTA copy on Home, Solar, Roofing, About, and Contact to match the more premium tone of the new brand.
  • Resolve the FAQ phone number inconsistency (the FAQ page currently shows a different number than the rest of the site).
  • Update the FAQ service-area answer to reflect Vancouver Island and Lower Mainland.
  • Audit and rewrite all meta titles, meta descriptions, and Open Graph copy across nine pages — roughly 24 individual metadata fields.
  • Implement structured data markup where appropriate to support richer search snippets.
  • Alt-text audit and rewrite for every image across the site — accessibility compliance and SEO benefit.
  • Internal linking review to ensure new architecture has clean cross-page navigation paths.
  • Custom 404 page rewritten to match the new brand voice.
  • Form thank-you, submission state, and error message copy refreshed.
2.4 Technical Deliverables
  • Responsive QA across mobile, large mobile, tablet, and desktop — every page reviewed at every breakpoint.
  • Performance pass — image compression, lazy-loading, and asset optimization for fast load times.
  • 301 redirects for /residential, /commercial, /solar-education, and /blogs to appropriate destinations.
  • Updated sitemap.xml and robots.txt with the new page architecture.
  • Image pipeline: modern formats, responsive srcset, lazy-loading on below-the-fold imagery.
  • Asset minification and compression configured at the server level.
  • WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates applied before migration begins.
  • Database cleanup of orphaned records pre-deployment.
  • Two full WordPress backups: one before migration begins, one immediately after go-live.
  • DNS verification and SSL certificate health check post-deployment.
  • Google Search Console resubmission with the updated sitemap.
  • Analytics continuity check during the cutover.
  • Form submission flow reviewed end-to-end on the live environment, including the GHL integration.
03 — Per-Page Deliverables

Every page, broken down to the section.

Below is what each of the nine pages receives. The volume here is intentional — the rebrand is not a reskin, it is a structural pass over every surface of the site.

04 — By the Numbers

What "rebrand" actually means in volume.

To translate scope into something measurable — these are the concrete units of work this engagement produces.

05 — Process

How the five days actually unfold.

The speed comes from a known codebase and a tight methodology — not from cutting corners. Here is how we work.

Step 01
Figma-First Design

Every pixel is approved in Figma before a line of code is written. No surprises in development, no rebuilding from scratch when something's off.

Step 02
Internal QA Before You See It

Our team reviews every page across all four breakpoints before sharing the staging link with you. You see polished work, not first drafts.

Step 03
Two Revision Rounds Included

Two structured rounds of feedback are built into the timeline. Anything beyond the agreed scope is flagged transparently before any extra work begins.

Step 04
Single Point of Contact

Taimoor manages the engagement directly. No handoffs, no telephone game, no waiting for the right person to respond on WhatsApp.

Step 05
Daily Updates

Brief progress updates land in WhatsApp every working day during active phases — so you always know exactly where the project stands.

Step 06
Backup Before Go-Live

Two full WordPress backups (pre-migration + post-deployment) so a rollback is one command away if anything unexpected happens.

A Note on Speed This timeline assumes feedback from your side is returned within 24 hours at each review checkpoint. Any delay in feedback extends the go-live date by the same amount — the development side will not be the bottleneck.
07 — Investment

Why This Price Holds This is a partner rate that reflects our existing familiarity with the codebase, your hosting environment, and the design system already in place. The Roofing addition we delivered in October 2025 (USD 200) was a single page; this scope is approximately eight times that volume of design, development, and QA work.
Scope Change Protocol

Per the agreement we settled in October 2025, any new request that falls outside the scope above — additional pages, e-commerce, integrations, copywriting beyond refresh, brand-asset creation — will be quoted as a separate proposal before work begins. Minor in-scope tweaks during the included revision rounds remain free.

Next Step

Let's build it.

Reply with "Approved" on WhatsApp and we'll issue the 50% deposit invoice the same day. Design kicks off within 24 hours of deposit clearing.
